Connect your store to DST

What is DST?​

DST provides standardized, validated, and current product data for the bicycle industry. All data is checked against the DST Product Standard.

Product data flows from suppliers through DST and store systems to bike shops.

Suppliers provide product data to DST. DST standardizes the data before it reaches your store systems.

Connect to DST: two possibilities​

Before you start: a DST account is required. No product data can be retrieved without an account. Request your free DST account.

1. Through your POS system

This is the simplest route for most dealers. After registering, DST sends you a GL number. Give this number to your POS provider; once it is processed, the product data becomes available in your POS system.

2. Through the DST API

Choose the official DST API for your own webshop or custom system, or when your POS system does not support DST. Your system can then retrieve the product data automatically.

Complete your BCF activation​

Activation by Belgian Cycling Factory

After you register with DST, you receive your DST identification and account. Contact Belgian Cycling Factory with this information. BCF then activates the brands and product data that your store is authorized to use.

This final activation is required. Belgian Cycling Factory handles it, not DST.

Why use DST?​

DST gives you current product information in multiple languages. It reduces manual data entry and keeps product information consistent. You can use the data in your point-of-sale (POS) system and webshop.

More than 3 million articles​

DST contains more than 3 million articles. You can look up your suppliers' assortments while helping a customer in your store. The information helps you answer product questions, order products, and show clear product descriptions on receipts.

You can use the same information in your webshop. You do not need to enter the product information again for each system.

One article, one name​

DST uses the same product terms and categories across suppliers. A coaster brake, hub brake, backpedal brake, or backpedal hub is therefore categorized consistently. This makes products easier to find and helps you answer customers faster.

Free for dealers​

DST is free for two-wheeler dealers. Suppliers pay an annual membership fee based on their annual turnover.
